EVENTS AT VILLA APPALACCIA

We are open Monday 10:00 to 4:00 PM, Friday 11:00 until 5:00 PM. Saturday from 11:00 until 6:00 PM. Sunday from 12:00 until 4:00 PM.

In order to provide a relaxed atmosphere and the best service to our visitors, we are unable to accomodate groups without prior notification. (more than six people).

If there are no special events, you can always play bocce or just relax and have a glass of wine!

PLEASE NOTE: IF THERE IS A SPECIAL EVENT AT THE FLOYDFEST SITE WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR YOUR PLEASURE AND RELAXATION.

May 10-11       Mothers Day weekend with classical music in the garden

May 17-18       “All Things Olive”  explore the flavors of freshly pressed 2007-08 olive oils, and olives from around the Mediterranean. 12:00 to 4:00 PM. To encourage you to come on Sunday, we will an additional treat, aged balsamic vinegars. The tastings will be followed by a pasta Putenesca and breads with olives provided by Zeppoli's of Blacksburg. $15 per person. This has been our most popular event for many years so plan to come. It is important to let us know you are coming by sending an e-mail stating how many people and at what time you are arriving and which day! chianti@swva.net This not a reservation but will help us plan and we cannot serve groups of more than 6 people at the same time.

June 7-8            Wood fired oven baked breads and classical music

June 14-15        Progressive  Wine, Cider, Mead and Beer tasting. Visit the six producers on the Blueridge Wine Trail for a pairing of their beverages with exciting foods. $25 all inclusive. (more info at   www.blueridgewinetrail.com)

June 21-22        Wood fired oven baked breads and classical music

July 5-6. Wine Down the Music Trail. Great Wine, Music and Food Festival right next door at the FloydFest site. Enjoy both NC and VA wineries. More info.

July 26-27         Listen to Floyd Fest from our lawn while enjoying wine, cheeses and bread.

Oct 11-12          “ Cheeses of the World” Sample 15 or more cheeses paired with various wines and learn about the intricacies  of cheese production and what makes cheeses taste so different from each other.

Nov 1-2              Amarone-Valpolicella tasting. Learn about and sample these magnificent wines paired with Italian antipastis. We will also sample the barrels of Villa Appalaccia’s 2007 Amarone. By reservations only. $ 20

Dec 6-7              We serve mulled wine and cider with Nordic seasonal goodies.
